WTW appoints Lisa Coomey to lead exposure management role
Coomey brings more than 20 years of experience and previously worked at the Bank of England on supervision of major insurance firms, including stress testing and climate risk.
Global insurance and reinsurance broker WTW has appointed Lisa Coomey as Senior Director and Head of Exposure Management within its Insurance Consulting and Technology business, according to Reinsurance News.
In the role, Coomey will help insurers strengthen exposure management capabilities and apply catastrophe risk insights to strategic decision-making, portfolio management, business transformation, and emerging risk challenges.
WTW said Coomey has more than two decades of experience across insurers, reinsurers, brokers, Lloyd’s market participants, and financial regulation.
Coomey previously worked at the Bank of England, where she contributed to supervision of major insurance firms on topics including stress testing, climate risk, emerging risks, and Section 166-related activity. She also recently mentored technology start-ups through the Accenture FinTech Innovation Lab, and WTW cited her return to industry and interest in innovation and InsurTech.
