Goosehead Insurance names Mark Jones Jr. as CEO successor
Current CEO Mark Miller will retire December 31, 2026, with Jones set to take over January 1, 2027.
Goosehead Insurance said Mark Miller will retire as CEO on December 31, 2026. The company plans for Mark Jones, Jr., its president and COO, to succeed Miller as president and CEO on January 1, 2027, while Miller will remain on Goosehead’s board.
Goosehead also described Jones’s background at the firm, noting he joined in 2016 and has held leadership roles across finance and operations. Jones is the son of Goosehead co-founder and executive chairman Mark Jones.
The company added that Hewitt will lead Goosehead’s technology strategy, including the expansion of AI-powered capabilities. It also noted Planet Insurance as a newly launched agency that is part of Planet Financial Group.
