Maiden Forgings shares rise as Bhojpur plant becomes operational

The company said the Bhojpur facility began formal operations on July 18, 2026, with dispatches starting the same week.

Maiden Forgings’ shares traded higher even as Indian benchmarks opened lower on Wednesday, July 22, with the stock up nearly 0.6% to ₹94 on NSE, according to LiveMint Markets. The move came amid a broader risk-off mood tied to rising crude oil prices linked to US-Iran tensions, which weighed on investor sentiment.

LiveMint Markets reported that in an exchange filing dated July 21, the company said its new manufacturing facility at Bhojpur is now operational. It said operations formally commenced on July 18, 2026, after an inaugural Hawan ceremony, and that product dispatches began during the same week.

The filing also framed the Bhojpur launch as a key milestone in Maiden Forgings’ expansion plans, completing the first phase of plant consolidation. The relocation of Unit II to a larger, technologically advanced facility is expected to deliver minimum cost savings of about ₹25 lakh per month, or nearly ₹2.5 crore annually, driven by lower administrative, power and fuel, and labour expenses.

The company said the upgraded plant supports additional approvals and accreditations, building on existing registrations with the Ordnance Factory Board and DRDO, and business-to-government orders from firms including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, NTPC, and BHEL. It added that centralised operations are expected to streamline production and improve delivery timelines, while it focuses next on remaining consolidation phases and broadening its product portfolio.
