PLACE hires Mike Ryan to lead business development
Ryan joins from OJO Labs, where his career included roles after Movoto was acquired by Lower in 2025.
HousingWire reports that real estate services and technology platform PLACE has appointed Mike Ryan as executive vice president of business development.
Ryan previously spent more than 10 years at OJO Labs, and later served as chief partnership officer for Lower’s real estate division, after Lower acquired OJO’s listing portal Movoto in 2025, according to HousingWire.
In his announcement, Ryan credited his experience building strategic partnerships and said PLACE’s team and ability to execute helped convince him to join, HousingWire added.
PLACE also noted that Ryan is reuniting with former colleague Chris Heller, who joined PLACE in November 2025 and now serves as the firm’s chief revenue officer, HousingWire said. HousingWire added that Lower did not immediately respond to an inquiry about plans to fill Ryan’s vacated role.
