Western Governors University opens 7,211-square-foot DC headquarters
The new Washington, D.C., office at 80 M St. SE in the Navy Yard neighborhood is intended to support WGU’s federal policy work and partnerships, alongside regional operations.
Western Governors University (WGU) has officially opened a Washington, D.C., office near Capitol Hill at 80 M St. SE in the city’s Navy Yard neighborhood, with the headquarters occupying 7,211 square feet, according to ConnectCRE.
The outlet said the space will act as a central location for collaboration on workforce challenges and educational needs, and it will also support WGU’s regional operations, federal policy work, and partnerships.
ConnectCRE added that WGU’s D.C., Maryland, and Virginia presence builds on existing operations in the region, where the university serves more than 4,600 students and has nearly 8,300 alumni.
In comments attributed to WGU, the regional vice president said the office is meant to bring people together, and that working alongside employers, educators, policymakers, and community partners can help expand pathways for learners.
