Brown & Brown names Anthropic, McKinsey and Accenture as AI partners
The broker plans to deploy Anthropic’s Claude across its 23,000 teammates and use Claude Code for its software engineering lifecycle.
Brown & Brown announced its next phase of enterprise technology transformation, positioning the company as an AI-first enterprise after early pilot gains. The firm said it is building AI as a foundational capability to scale across the business while giving local teams tools to address customer and operational needs.
According to Coverager, Brown & Brown has selected Anthropic, McKinsey & Company and Accenture as partners, combining frontier AI expertise with business transformation and governance. The goal is to establish guardrails, operating discipline and an execution model to scale AI responsibly across the enterprise.
The company plans to deploy Anthropic’s Claude across its 23,000 teammates and integrate AI into end-to-end workflows spanning customer service, operations, technology and corporate functions. Brown & Brown also plans to roll out Claude Code across its software engineering organization to reshape and implement an AI-enabled software development lifecycle.
Coverager also reports that CEO Powell Brown said the company views AI as an enabler of teammates’ experience, specialization and judgment, rather than a replacement. The announcement includes reference to expanding the broker’s transactional tax insurance capabilities globally, with additional leadership tied to that expansion.
