CSG to invest up to $15 million in Wisconsin drone-engine plant
The facility in Stevens Point will begin initial assembly within months and aims for full-scale manufacturing in 2027, with about 125 skilled jobs over three years.
CSG plans to set up an advanced propulsion manufacturing facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, through its US subsidiary CSE USA and a new unit, Firecrest Aerospace, according to Yahoo Finance.
The project starts with an initial investment of up to $15 million and is expected to create about 125 skilled jobs over the next three years, with operations based in Stevens Point and dedicated work at Stevens Point Municipal Airport for engine integration, ground testing, and flight validation.
Initial assembly is expected to begin within months, with initial deliveries to follow, while full-scale manufacturing is targeted for 2027.
Firecrest Aerospace says the facility will focus on small turbojet and turbofan engines for unmanned aircraft systems, precision defense systems, target drones, loitering munitions, and other next-generation aerospace applications, rolling out in phases from assembly and testing for US customers toward broader domestic manufacturing, engineering, and product development.
