European stocks rise as defense earnings lift sentiment
Dassault Systemes shares jumped about 8% after the company posted another quarter of higher revenue and expanding order books, reflecting the defense upcycle’s impact on results.
European stocks moved higher as the defense sector’s upcycle continued to feed through to corporate earnings and order demand, CNBC World reported.
The outlet said defense-related strength translated into another quarter of higher revenue across the sector, with swelling order books supporting the positive momentum.
Dassault Systemes was singled out, with the stock rising roughly 8% following its results that showed continued revenue improvement and a larger backlog.
