Goosehead’s enterprise channel adds $3M in Q2 commissions and fees
Enterprise sales grew 70% year over year and made up 21% of Goosehead’s total new commissions and agency fees in the quarter.
Goosehead Insurance said its enterprise sales unit, launched about three years ago to serve embedded partners in the homeownership and financial services ecosystem, generated roughly $3 million in new business commissions and agency fees during the second quarter.
The company reported enterprise sales grew 70% year over year and represented 21% of Goosehead’s total new commissions and agency fees, positioning the channel as a meaningful third distribution route alongside its corporate and franchise networks, according to Coverager.
As an example, Goosehead pointed to its partnership with Planet Home Lending, where it moved more than 10 experienced corporate producers into the lender’s embedded franchise; the franchise reached the top 5% of Goosehead franchises after six months of production.
Goosehead also said the unit is targeting larger opportunities tied to the about 4.5 million to 5 million annual home purchases, and it cited roughly 85 million existing US mortgages plus potential partnerships with financial services firms, moving companies, and smart-home providers such as Vivint. The company noted that its digital agent platform allows consumers in Texas to shop and bind digitally across multiple home and auto carriers while retaining access to licensed Goosehead agents when advice is needed.
