Howard Hanna partners with Portside to expand into northern New England
The deal immediately brings Howard Hanna into Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, extending its footprint to 18 states with more than 500 offices.
HousingWire reports Howard Hanna is entering northern New England through a partnership with Maine-based Portside Real Estate Group. The companies said Portside will keep its own brand and leadership while gaining access to Howard Hanna technology, marketing, and referral networks.
The partnership gives Howard Hanna an immediate presence in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and expands its coverage to 18 states and more than 500 offices. Portside operates 12 offices with more than 225 agents.
Portside, founded and led by Dava Davin, recorded 2,090 transaction sides totaling $1.33 billion in sales volume in 2025, according to RealTrends Verified rankings cited by the outlet. That performance earned Portside the No. 239 national rank for sales volume in the 2026 RealTrends Verified Rankings.
HousingWire also notes the companies highlighted benefits aimed at agents, including Howard Hanna programs such as Buy Before You Sell and a 100% Money Back Guarantee. The expansion strategy is also tied to Howard Hanna offering healthcare and 401(k) options to independent contractor agents, a recruiting advantage as brokerages compete for talent.
