Mandarin Re names Patrick G. W. Ward to its board
Ward brings more than 35 years of insurance leadership, including senior roles at a Bahamas insurer and a current position as president of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean.
Mandarin Re, a Malaysia-based reinsurance company, has appointed Patrick G. W. Ward as a Member of its Board of Directors.
Reinsurance News reports that the company said the move reflects its focus on governance and long-term, sustainable growth, and cited Ward’s more than 35 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry.
Ward currently serves as President of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean, a role he has held for the past three years, and he has held multiple senior executive and board positions during his career.
The outlet says Ward previously served as Executive Chief Executive Officer of the Bahamas First General Insurance Company Limited for more than two decades, later serving as CEO again starting in April 2024.
