Silver rises to $58.40 an ounce, up nearly 2%
Silver’s Gold/Silver ratio fell to 69.5 from 70.7 on Thursday.
Silver prices rose on Friday, with XAG/USD trading at $58.40 per troy ounce, according to FXStreet data.
The price increase marks a 1.98% gain from Thursday’s $57.27 level.
FXStreet also cited a lower Gold/Silver ratio of 69.50 on Friday, down from 70.72 on Thursday.
The outlet noted that silver can move with factors including shifts in the US dollar, interest rates, investor demand, and industrial demand, and that silver often tracks gold given their similar safe haven roles.
