U.S. crude and petroleum exports hit a record high in April

U.S. petroleum exports rose to 13.6 million barrels per day in April, up 15.0% from the prior record in March.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said U.S. exports of crude oil and petroleum products reached record levels in April.

The EIA reported that exports climbed to 13.6 million barrels per day, which was 15.0% higher than the previous record set in March.

According to the EIA, disruptions affecting international crude oil and refined product flows through the Strait of Hormuz boosted demand for U.S. exports.
