Luckin Coffee signs 10-year lease at 180 Varick St. in Hudson Square

The 1,200-square-foot retail space will replace a longtime pizzeria and deli that had been there for more than 40 years before the owner retired.

Olmstead Properties has signed Luckin Coffee to a new 10-year retail lease for 1,200 square feet at 180 Varick St. in Manhattan’s Hudson Square, according to ConnectCRE.

Luckin Coffee will take over the storefront from a neighborhood pizzeria and deli that had occupied the space for more than 40 years before its longtime owner retired.

Steven Marvin of Olmstead Properties represented ownership, and said the tenant is a fit for the building as Hudson Square continues to evolve, with the company focused on adding amenities that improve tenants’ day-to-day experience and support the surrounding community.

ConnectCRE also noted that 180 Varick St. has been owned by the Rosenblatt family since the building’s development in the 1920s, and that it is Olmstead Properties’ longest-held asset.
