Compass International agents get free American Real Estate Association membership

Complimentary ARA membership runs through 2026’s remainder and all of 2027, while standard dues are $20 per year or $1,500 for a 10-year founding membership.

Compass International Holdings said its affiliated agents and brokers at company-owned operations will receive complimentary membership in the American Real Estate Association for the remainder of 2026 and all of 2027, according to a company announcement.

The trade group set its membership costs at $20 per year, or $1,500 for a 10-year founding membership that covers dues for the full period.

Compass chairman and CEO Robert Reffkin said the company is backing a more competitive national representation option for real estate professionals and that joining ARA gives its agents a choice in national advocacy.

ARA was co-founded in 2024 by The Agency co-founder Mauricio Umansky and Compass agent Jason Haber, and Compass noted the move comes about a month after ARA added REMAX president Chris Lim to its board and offered all REMAX agents a complimentary first-year membership.
