Swiggy quick commerce unit Instamart appoints new CEO
Swiggy said Amitesh Kumar Jha will step down as Instamart CEO on July 28, with Nandita Sinha taking over effective August 3, 2026.
Swiggy shares rose 5.4% on July 28 after the company announced a leadership change at its quick commerce business, Instamart, in a regulatory filing cited by LiveMint Markets.
Swiggy said Amitesh Kumar Jha resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Instamart, effective with a letter dated July 28, and that the resignation also ends his role as senior management personnel for the company. The filing also named Nandita Sinha as the new Instamart CEO, effective August 3, 2026, and said she will be designated as senior management personnel from her appointment date.
LiveMint Markets reported that Sinha joins Instamart from Myntra, where she previously served as CEO and led the fashion e-commerce platform to strengthen its position and achieve EBITDA profitability in 2024.
The report said Swiggy’s stock opened at ₹257.60 on the BSE, reached an intraday high of ₹272.95, and traded to a low of ₹256.40. A technical analyst cited by LiveMint Markets said the broader trend remains bearish despite a recovery, with resistance seen in the ₹280 to ₹290 area.
