AXIS Capital fee income from strategic capital partners rises in Q2

Second-quarter 2026 strategic capital partner fee income reached $22 million, and AXIS said AXIS Capacity Solutions contributed $165 million of premium.

AXIS Capital reported another increase in fee income earned through strategic capital partner arrangements in the second quarter of 2026, citing continued growth in insurance linked securities and third party capital activity, alongside contributions from its AXIS Capacity Solutions capability.

In the quarter, AXIS said fee income from third party capital partner initiatives rose to $22 million, up from $20 million a year earlier. The company added that $17 million of that amount was recognized as a reimbursement of general and administrative expenses, helping drive the ratio down 2.5% over the half year.

AXIS also reported that its 2026 year to date fees totaled $44 million, compared with $37 million generated in the six months ended June 30, 2025. The company pointed to its partnership with Stone Point on the casualty sidecar structure Monarch Point Re, launched in 2023 after a more than $400 million capital raise, and to new collateralized insurer activity supporting Monarch Point Re’s current underwriting year.

AXIS said AXIS Capacity Solutions, which began operating in 2025, contributed $165 million of premium in the second quarter and accounted for more than half of the group’s gross premium growth during the period. In addition, AXIS reported total insurance premiums of $2.2 billion for the quarter, with a 90.0% combined ratio and an 84.5% current accident year ex cat combined ratio, according to Artemis.
