BGO and Yukon sell 291,000-sf New Century Cold Storage in Kansas
The plant-attached, rail-served facility was built as a build-to-suit for CJ Logistics America and sits inside a New Century AirCenter industrial park near Interstate 35.
ConnectCRE reports BGO and Yukon Real Estate Partners have sold New Century Cold Storage, a newly built cold storage warehouse in New Century, Kansas, totaling 291,000 square feet.
The property was purpose-built as a plant-attached, build-to-suit warehouse for CJ Logistics America. It is described as rail-served, with a direct rail spur to the building, and it is located within the Johnson County Airport Commission’s New Century AirCenter industrial park.
ConnectCRE says the facility was owned and co-developed through a joint venture between BGO and Yukon, with the buyer identified as a MetLife Investment Management client. The site is positioned less than four miles from Interstate 35.
BGO managing partner Kevin Rivest said the facility’s purpose-built design, location, and direct integration with food production and logistics operations are expected to support the resilience of U.S. food supply chains for decades.
