Bitcoin spot ETFs record their smallest monthly net inflows in July
July net inflows into U.S.-listed bitcoin spot ETFs totaled $205.0 million, down from $2.43 billion of exits in May and $4.52 billion in June.
CoinDesk reports that net inflows into U.S.-listed bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds have fallen to a trickle in July, with $205.0 million of total net inflows to date, the lowest monthly figure on record based on SoSoValue data.
The newsletter frames the weak flow as anemic relative to earlier months, noting that bitcoin ETFs saw $2.43 billion of exits in May and $4.52 billion in June, even as July continues with two trading days remaining.
Ether has outperformed bitcoin and other crypto funds in the same ETF window, with ETH ETFs taking in $342.85 million in net inflows in July, according to the same data cited by CoinDesk.
CoinDesk also notes that the crypto market is showing low volatility, with Bollinger bands on daily BTC price action at their tightest since January, while it flags upcoming U.S. core PCE inflation and GDP releases as potential catalysts for later volatility.
