Ategrity Specialty reports Q2 2026 net income of $33.5 million
Gross written premiums rose 23.4% year over year to $206.8 million, and the quarter’s combined ratio fell below 85.9% as the expense ratio improved.
Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company Holdings reported second quarter 2026 net income of $33.5 million, alongside gross written premiums of $206.8 million. The insurer said net income increased 89.8% versus Q2 2025, while GWP grew 23.4% year over year.
The company reported a combined ratio below 85.9%, down from 88.9% in Q2 2025. It attributed the improvement to an expense ratio gain, with the loss ratio rising 0.5 percentage points to 58.5%, reflecting a shift in business mix toward its Brokerage channel and lower catastrophe activity versus the prior year.
Ategrity also posted underwriting income of $16.0 million for the quarter, up 66.9% from $9.6 million a year earlier. The company said GWP growth was driven by execution of its growth initiatives and increased engagement across an expanding distribution network, including 24.7% casualty growth and 21.3% property growth.
CEO Justin Cohen highlighted what it called the scalability of the business model, noting an expense ratio improvement of 350 basis points to 27.5% that supported the underwriting income increase. Ategrity President and Chief Underwriting Officer Chris Schenk cited strong new business growth tied to expanded distribution relationships and growth initiatives, including Project Heartland and its New England strategy.
