Inszone acquires Advice Insurance Agency to expand personal auto

Advice Insurance Agency was built on auto coverage, which accounted for more than 90% of its business before the acquisition.

Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Advice Insurance Agency, Inc. to strengthen its personal lines offerings, with a focus on expanding auto insurance, the company said. Advice Insurance, founded by Steve McCulloch in 1992 and incorporated in April 2008, generated more than 90% of its business from auto insurance over more than three decades.

McCulloch, after 34 years in the industry, said he decided to step back toward retirement and sought a partner to enhance service for existing clients. He said research showed Inszone offered products he previously could not access, including life insurance and a wider range of preferred and non-standard carriers, and that a larger platform would give clients more options.

As part of Inszone, Advice clients will gain access to a broader set of insurance carriers, including new options for commercial auto, life insurance, and wider business coverages. Inszone CEO Chris Walters said the agency's auto expertise is a strong addition to the firm as McCulloch transitions toward retirement.

The acquisition is one of dozens completed under Inszone's rapid growth strategy. According to Inszone, the company has grown from 25 employees at its 2002 founding to more than 900 and completed more than 130 acquisitions, while OPTIS Partners data cited by Insurance Business shows Inszone ranked among the three most active broker buyers in the United States in 2025.
