Plymouth Rock adds home insurance quoting inside ChatGPT
The ChatGPT plugin delivers personalized real-time home insurance quotes for customers in all states where the insurer operates, including Massachusetts and New York.
Plymouth Rock Home Assurance Corporation has launched a plugin that lets homeowners get real-time, personalized home insurance quotes directly inside ChatGPT, positioning the Boston-based insurer as the first US carrier to bring quoting into the AI platform. The insurer said the tool is designed to replace navigating multiple websites and forms with a conversational exchange, and that it is available now to homeowners in every state where Plymouth Rock operates, including Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York and New Hampshire. Plymouth Rock’s CEO Bill Martin said the company’s focus is not just speed, but also ensuring customers can rely on the quotes, pointing to the need for financial strength, claims-paying ability, and a track record. The launch also ties into the insurer’s broader digital strategy aimed at creating seamless experiences from quote to claim by combining underwriting expertise with emerging technology. The move follows other insurer experiments with conversational AI distribution: OpenAI approved an insurance provider app in February 2026 for home insurance quoting, Insurify rolled out a car insurance comparison app soon after, and Liberty Mutual later launched an auto insurance quoting app inside ChatGPT in seven states with plans to expand to more than 40 by year end.
