Decrypt reports that a solo Bitcoin miner solved block 960,804 overnight, collecting a reward worth close to $200,000. The payout totaled 3.15689830 BTC, made up of the 3.125 BTC block subsidy plus 0.032 BTC in transaction fees from 4,243 transactions.
It was the 317th solo block found through CKPool, a pseudonymous developer known as Dr-ck. The winning address was listed as bc1qdyqjq9qccp34pyv3kxmsrkn7p0amnsqqy8kdeq.
Decrypt says Dr-ck described the miner’s hashrate as “wildly variable,” likely from rented compute, with a peak around 100 PH. Network hashrate was about 924 exahashes per second, meaning the peak represented roughly 0.011% of the network.
