TekSynap signs long-term lease at BXP’s Reston Town Center
The federal IT contractor will relocate to 11921 Freedom Drive, using the space as its digital nerve center, after signing for a 26,500-square-foot floor.
TekSynap has signed a long-term lease for a 26,500-square-foot floor at BXP’s Reston Town Center in Northern Virginia, Commercial Observer reported. The federal IT contractor, which works on cloud integration, cybersecurity, software development, and IT modernization for civilian, defense, and intelligence agencies, will relocate less than a mile from its current location to the second floor of 11921 Freedom Drive.
BXP said the new office will support TekSynap’s core services team and function as a “digital nerve center” for its operations. TekSynap employs about 1,800 people, including subcontractors.
Commercial Observer also noted that the deal adds another lease to BXP’s roughly 5 million-square-foot Reston Town Center mixed-use campus. BXP vice president of office leasing Erin Cotter said the move highlights demand for office space paired with amenities and a built-in retail and dining environment.
TekSynap CEO Kam Jinnah said the relocation reflects the company’s rapid expansion in government technology, particularly as artificial intelligence is reshaping information technology. The company said the lease transaction was announced Monday after Newmark broker Cole Spalding represented TekSynap in the deal.
