Davis Companies appoints Douglas Doughty as equity capital markets lead
Doughty will be based in the firm’s New York City office and focus on expanding Davis’ equity capital formation capabilities as the company marks 50 years of operations.
The Davis Companies, a Boston-based commercial real estate investment firm, announced the appointment of Douglas Doughty as managing director of equity capital markets, with the change centered on strengthening the firm’s capital formation and national growth efforts, according to ConnectCRE.
Doughty will operate out of Davis’ New York City office and work closely with the company’s investor relations and investments teams, as well as senior leadership led by CEO Stephen Davis.
At Davis, Doughty will report to Quentin Reynolds, president and CIO, who said the hire’s experience in expanding global investor relationships, institutional business development, and real estate investment strategy will support Davis’ efforts to build its equity platform.
ConnectCRE also noted that since launching commingled real estate funds in 2009, Davis has raised approximately $3 billion in equity across five value-added funds.
