DOXA acquires LimitFi in push into structured credit risk transfer
The deal adds a specialty MGA focused on non-payment insurance, with LimitFi connecting lenders seeking capital relief to insurance and reinsurance capital providers.
Specialty insurance MGA consolidation continued in the US, as DOXA acquired LimitFi, a credit risk transfer and non-payment insurance platform that targets structured credit markets largely bypassed by generalist carriers, according to Insurance Business.
The acquisition follows DOXA's purchase of Jupiter Underwriting Group in April 2026, marking the Fort Wayne, Indiana-based platform's second MGA deal in roughly four months.
Insurance Business also cited a July 2026 Conning study saying US MGA direct premium written rose 12.0% in 2025 to $102.6 billion, with acquisitions increasing in both number and size through 2026.
DOXA said the expanded platform will deepen its credit risk transfer capabilities as private credit markets grow, and it will be led by LimitFi co-founders Adam Budnick and Zach Smith as co-presidents, with existing employees remaining with the organization.
