East Tennessee Realtors adds SourceRE marketplace and forensic tracking
The partnership centralizes MLS vendor licensing and billing and uses Data Dye to embed identifiers that can help document unauthorized use of listing data.
East Tennessee Realtors has partnered with SourceRE to centralize distribution of its MLS data and tighten control over access, licensing, and billing, the companies announced. The association will list its data on the SourceRE Data Marketplace and route vendor API access through a standardized onboarding process.
SourceRE said vendors will receive Real Estate Standards Organization certified API access, while East Tennessee Realtors keeps approval authority over all data recipients. The association will also deploy SourceRE’s Data Dye technology, which embeds invisible identifiers in distributed listing data to detect and document unauthorized use.
HousingWire reports the move targets the growing need for secure, API based access as MLS listing data spreads across consumer portals, AI models, and third party applications. The partnership also aims to simplify vendor relationships, reduce one off contracts, and strengthen audit trails over who uses the data and for what purpose.
East Tennessee Realtors CEO Lyle Irish said the association views MLS data as a valuable asset and expects the deal to provide greater control, stronger security, and flexibility in how trusted data is delivered to members and technology partners. HousingWire also noted that Southwest MLS in Albuquerque announced a similar SourceRE integration earlier this summer.
