Hines outlines The Gallery mixed-use project in SouthPark Charlotte

The Gallery will include a 250,000-square-foot office tower, a 19-story 302-unit multifamily building, and 50,000 square feet of retail, replacing a single-story retail site on Carnegie Blvd.

Hines has unveiled plans for a mixed-use development called The Gallery in Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood, set to replace a single-story retail property at 6601 and 6555 Carnegie Blvd. ConnectCRE said the current buildings house three food-and-beverage purveyors.

According to ConnectCRE, The Gallery will feature a 250,000-square-foot office tower, a 19-story multifamily tower with 302 units, and 50,000 square feet dedicated to retail.

The retailer spaces are planned to surround a plaza opening to the street, while the multifamily tower would be positioned within walking distance of amenities including Symphony Park and The Specialty Shops, the outlet added.

ConnectCRE also said the office tower would offer amenities such as private terraces, a shared sky terrace and lounge, conference and training facilities, fitness offerings, and direct access to ground-floor retail. The firm reported that JLL will lead office leasing, Hines will handle retail leasing, and Hines has not yet set a construction timeline.
