UNest adds Ladder term life insurance quotes in its app
The arrangement follows UNest being appointed by Amica and expands embedded distribution, with discounts on new and renewal business scheduled to taper to 2% over time effective March 1, 2026.
UNest, a college savings platform, has added Ladder term life insurance quotes directly within its app, according to Coverager. The update is part of UNest’s move to promote term life coverage as an embedded offering for users who request a quote through the platform.
Coverager reports that UNest Assurance Insurance Agency had previously been appointed by Amica, and Ladder is also appointed with Amica, suggesting Amica is the underlying carrier supporting this distribution channel. UNest previously partnered with Haven Life, including member incentives tied to requesting term life quotes and investment into UNest accounts for existing Haven Life policyholders.
The insurer discount tied to the offering will taper down to 2% over time, applying to both new and renewal business effective March 1, 2026. Coverager also notes that the partnership was expected to launch in the 2024 to 2025 season and will include a community initiative focused on early childhood education.
Finally, Coverager says the insurer will leverage ZestyAI’s full property and climate risk analytics platform as part of the expanded relationship. UNest has also worked with Avibra and Wysh to bring other insurance-related offerings to its users.
