VIU by HUB partners with Spero Financial to launch Spero Insurance Services
The new branded agency will let members in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia shop for personal lines online and is expected to generate non-interest income via renewals.
VIU by HUB has partnered with Spero Financial to launch Spero Insurance Services, a branded insurance agency that gives members access to personal insurance coverage from more than 40 carriers, Coverager reports.
The agency is operated by VIU by HUB under the Spero Financial brand, with VIU handling carrier relationships, licensing, compliance, operations, technology, and licensed insurance professionals, while Spero integrates the offering into its member experience.
Spero Financial, founded in 1935 and based in Greenville, South Carolina, serves more than 45,000 members and manages over $700 million in assets.
Through the new agency, members across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia can shop for auto, homeowners, renters, and other personal insurance products online or with a licensed insurance advisor, as the partnership aims to expand the credit union’s financial wellness offering and create non-interest income through policy renewals.
