Zillow and Realtracs finalize updated MLS data licensing deal

The updated agreement keeps Nashville-area listings on Zillow while adding new rules on how broker-created MLS data can be used, including for AI applications.

Zillow and Realtracs have finalized an updated licensing agreement covering MLS data for the Nashville region, with listings continuing to flow to Zillow, HousingWire reports.

The deal keeps Realtracs listings visible on Zillow, which Zillow says it maintains as the largest online audience for residential real estate, while adding clearer use rights and protections for broker-created MLS data.

The revised license also includes guardrails for emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and says its Listing Access Standards were not modified for the Nashville region.

HousingWire reports the agreement follows Realtracs telling brokers in late May it would suspend Zillow’s listing data feed on June 1 if the portal did not comply with the MLS’s updated IDX display policy by May 31.
