Zoneomics launches Bassett.ai for zoning and built-environment intelligence

The platform aims to streamline zoning research by using natural language questions to return citation-backed answers drawn from zoning data covering U.S. municipalities with populations above 25,000.

Zoneomics, a zoning data and intelligence company, has launched Bassett.ai, described as an AI operating system for zoning and the built environment.

The product is designed for real estate developers, urban planners, architects, brokers, lenders, and legal teams. Zoneomics says Bassett.ai is positioned to optimize its streamlined zoning data library, which includes every U.S. municipality with a population greater than 25,000.

ConnectCRE reports that the platform lets users ask natural language questions, such as what can be built at a site or what zoning constraints to consider, and then receive detailed, citation-backed responses.

Zoneomics says the approach is meant to reduce reliance on PDFs, fragmented municipal websites, and manual research, with the goal of speeding development project analysis and completion timelines while supporting planners with a trusted assistant.
