Glencore plans a secondary ASX listing in October 2026

Glencore said the move targets a broader investor base and higher trading liquidity, and it expects to seek admission to the Australian Securities Exchange in October 2026.

Glencore will launch a secondary listing in Australia, as the Anglo-Swiss miner looks to move beyond London amid complaints that its shares are undervalued and face limited liquidity, OilPrice reports.

The company, which is among the largest firms on the FTSE 100 with a market capitalization of £64.4 billion, plans to seek admission to the Australian Securities Exchange in October 2026.

Chief executive Gary Nagle said the listing would broaden Glencore’s investor base and enhance trading liquidity, adding that Australia has a large pool of long-term investment capital. Shares rose 3.5% after the announcement, according to the report.

Glencore said Australia is one of its most important operating jurisdictions, noting it operates multiple mines in the country and has significant exposure to the coal mining industry. The CEO also cited a prior visit to Australia to engage shareholders after talks earlier this year.
