Aviva adds specialist underwriters for financial institutions across UK regions
The regional expansion rolls out four specialist underwriters across the Midlands and South, the North of England, and Scotland, aimed at accelerating brokers' access to underwriting decisions.
Aviva is expanding its Financial Institutions underwriting capability across the UK by adding four specialist underwriters to its regional network. Beginning this month, it will deliver Financial Institutions underwriting expertise through offices in the Midlands and South, the North of England, and Scotland, building on its existing London operation, according to Coverager.
The insurer, part of its Global, Corporate & Specialty business, is targeting FCA-regulated organizations including investment managers, investment funds, building societies, mutuals, friendly societies, and other financial services businesses. The offering includes five products, Directors and Officers, Fund Directors and Officers Liability, Investment Management Insurance, Professional Indemnity, and Crime cover.
Aviva said the move is designed to give brokers faster access to underwriting decisions and technical support as it aims to grow its Financial Institutions business across the UK. Coverager also notes that AXIS will underwrite its share of the risks through AXIS Energy Transition Syndicate 2050.
Aviva added that the financial impact of the acquisition is not material to the group, according to Coverager.
