Cushman & Wakefield helps sell former Hotel Harrington in Washington, D.C.
The deal includes a roughly 141,481-square-foot building with 308 hotel rooms, and the property sold for the first time in about 110 years after closing in December 2023.
Cushman & Wakefield represented Hotel Harrington, Inc. in the sale of the former Hotel Harrington, a redevelopment opportunity at 436 11th Street NW in downtown Washington, D.C., ConnectCRE reported. The transaction marked the first sale of the property in approximately 110 years.
The former hotel totals about 141,481 square feet and includes 308 hotel rooms. It sits on a 15,246-square-foot site spanning a full block fronting E Street between 11th and 12th Streets NW.
ConnectCRE said the hotel was originally developed in phases between 1914 and 1925 and operated for more than a century before closing in December 2023. Cushman & Wakefield deal team members Marc Magazine, William Collins, Shaun Weinberg, and Mark Wooters represented the seller.
