AIG promotes O’Connor to lead professional liability and cyber in North America
The move names Christopher O’Connor, who has been at AIG for more than 15 years, to oversee both professional liability and cyber insurance for the region.
American International Group (AIG) said it has promoted Christopher O’Connor to head of professional liability and cyber for North America. O’Connor has been with the company for more than 15 years, and most recently led North America corporate accounts for AIG’s professional liability and cyber business.
AIG said O’Connor previously led cyber business for financial institutions, and the promotion is intended to position him to lead the organization into a new phase, according to remarks included in the company announcement.
Separately, specialty and P&C (re)insurer Canopius Group appointed Greg Kuchinski as its U.S. chief underwriting officer (CUO). Canopius said Kuchinski will report to CUO Sam Harrison and to incoming U.S. CEO Nadine Moore, and will join the U.S. executive committee, with a start date of September 9.
