HousingWire rolls out AI workflows for housing and mortgage data

HousingWire Intelligence is expected to exit beta within a week, after the company used structured housing and mortgage data to power AI platform access via MCP.

HousingWire said it is expanding its artificial intelligence strategy by making housing market data, mortgage information, and industry analysis available through AI platforms including ChatGPT and Claude. The company previewed the approach at its third annual AI Summit at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas, outlining how it is preparing its data infrastructure to support AI use cases.

According to HousingWire, its work over the past year included organizing housing market data, mortgage data, mortgage rates, and RealTrends Verified rankings, plus other information from the company and its partners. HousingWire executives said structuring the data correctly is a key requirement for implementing AI and for building new AI-powered products.

HousingWire Intelligence, which was in beta mode at the time of the summit, is scheduled to move to full release within the next week. During the event, the company’s technology leadership demonstrated how it uses model context protocol, an open standard intended to let AI applications securely connect to outside data, tools, and systems.

HousingWire said it has also used the infrastructure to give reporters, editors, and podcast hosts faster access to information, while providing its technology team with a foundation for additional AI product development. The company CEO, Clayton Collins, described the goal as improving access to actionable insight by reducing the effort required to sift through noise.
