NextRock plans life insurance and reinsurance platform NextLife to launch in 2027
The joint venture planned for 2027 will operate through entities in Bermuda and Delaware and is set to expand capital via special purpose vehicles and other institutional structures.
Japanese holding company NextRock Group unveiled plans to create a life insurance and reinsurance platform called NextLife Insurance Group, with operations and entities in Bermuda and Delaware.
According to Reinsurance News, NextRock expects the platform to formally launch in 2027 through a joint venture as part of its longer term plan to build a diversified global investment group.
The company said it aims to deploy permanent capital across insurance, reinsurance, private credit, and asset management, and it is considering expanding its capital base through dedicated special purpose vehicles and other institutional investment structures.
NextRock also indicated it is evaluating strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, and partnerships with established insurance companies, reinsurers, credit providers, and other financial institutions, and it plans to provide further details on leadership and investment teams in the coming weeks.
