Fura acquires High Rise Logistics in Pacific Northwest expansion

The deal adds flatbed, expedited, truckload and less-than-truckload services to Fura's roll-up, with High Rise keeping daily operations while adopting Fura's AI bidding and shipment visibility platform.

Fura, a Cincinnati-based AI-powered freight brokerage and 3PL, announced it has acquired High Rise Logistics for an undisclosed sum, marking its seventh acquisition, according to the company’s Tuesday announcement covered by Yahoo Finance.

High Rise, based in Vancouver, Washington, provides flatbed, expedited, truckload and less-than-truckload transportation, and also offers intermodal, drayage and warehousing services, with a reported large presence in the Pacific Northwest.

Under the terms described in the coverage, High Rise’s leadership team will continue to manage day-to-day operations, while gaining access to Fura’s tech platform that includes AI-powered bidding, carrier-sales functions and shipment visibility.

The report also framed the transaction as part of Fura’s approach to consolidating the fragmented freight brokerage industry by moving acquired businesses onto a shared AI-powered automation platform aimed at leaner operations and efficiency.
