Inszone acquires Bay Area commercial insurer Two Fong's

The acquisition brings Two Fong's property and lessor's risk specialist book into Inszone's national platform, adding to its highly active agency M&A pace.

Inszone Insurance Services has acquired Two Fong's Inc., a Bay Area commercial insurance agency focused on property and lessor's risk coverage. Two Fong's, founded in 1982, has been led since 2000 by brothers Al and Pete Fong, who acquired the agency from its original owners.

Inszone said the deal fits its California strategy, citing Two Fong's deep Bay Area roots and referral network in the commercial property market. Al Fong said the goal was to expand capabilities through a partner like Inszone while keeping local account management and servicing intact for existing clients.

Pete Fong added that early conversations with Inszone, including interactions involving Jennifer Sevilla, helped shape the decision, and that the closing process felt collaborative. Helfer & Associates served as the exclusive advisor to Two Fong's on the transaction.

The deal follows Inszone's broader pattern of acquiring independent agencies, with Tracxn data cited showing a total of 137 acquisitions since the company was founded in 2002, including 43 deals in 2024. OPTIS Partners data also shows Inszone ranked among the three most active broker buyers in the US in 2025, and notes that North American agency deal volume declined in 2026 to 292 acquisitions through the first six months, down 15% from the same period in 2025.
