Saudi Arabia boosts oil exports via Egypt Mediterranean pipeline

Oil shipments through Egypt's Sidi Kerir port have more than doubled as Saudi Arabia routes crude through the Mediterranean to reduce exposure to Red Sea attacks, according to Kpler data cited by CNBC.

Saudi Arabia has increased oil exports by routing more crude through a Mediterranean pipeline connected to Egypt's Sidi Kerir port, CNBC Markets reported.

The outlet said exports from Sidi Kerir have more than doubled, with most of the crude coming from Saudi Arabia, based on data from Kpler.

CNBC World linked the shift to an effort to avoid attacks in the Red Sea, using the Mediterranean route as an alternative supply path.
