Dream Finders to buy Beazer in $2.2 billion deal
The transaction values Beazer at $33.50 per share and is expected to generate more than $100 million in annual cost synergies.
HousingWire reports Dream Finders Homes will acquire Beazer Homes for $33.50 per share in a $2.2 billion enterprise value transaction.
The companies say the deal is designed to use scale, cost synergies, and integration discipline to improve returns and narrow Beazer’s performance gap versus larger homebuilders.
HousingWire reports Dream Finders expects more than $100 million in annual run-rate cost synergies, along with efforts to expand insurance and mortgage banking capture across Beazer’s business.
The buyer also intends to return leverage to, or improve on, current levels within 18 to 24 months, as the acquisition aims to increase shareholder value through growth in markets, communities, and closings rather than relying only on incremental organic expansion.
