Pandora expands platinum-plated jewelry to cut exposure to silver
The jeweler is shifting product mix toward platinum despite recent weakness in silver prices, according to CNBC.
Pandora is moving ahead with a push into platinum-plated jewelry as it looks to reduce its exposure to volatile silver prices, CNBC reports. The company said the strategy is meant to lower reliance on a metal that has been moving more sharply.
CNBC Markets and CNBC World both highlight that Pandora’s decision comes even as silver has recently declined. The shift reflects the company’s broader approach to managing input-price swings through its materials mix.
