UK P&I Club appoints Jeong-Sook Kim to lead Korean underwriting
The Senior Underwriting Director role is based in the club’s London office and covers initial responsibility for the Korean market.
The UK P&I Club, a provider of Protection and Indemnity insurance to the global shipping industry, has appointed Jeong-Sook Kim as Senior Underwriting Director with initial responsibility for the Korean market, the company said.
Kim will work from the club’s London office, collaborating with William Beveridge, Chief Underwriting Officer, and the wider Asia-Pacific leadership team to help shape the club’s underwriting strategy.
The appointment is aimed at strengthening the club’s presence, reputation, and membership base in Korea, as part of its Asia-Pacific growth plans, according to the announcement.
Reinsurance News also said Kim is a qualified lawyer with more than three decades of experience across broking, underwriting, and legal practice across Asia, including Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, with expertise in P&I and FD&D insurance.
