Teledyne agrees to buy Varex Imaging in about a $1.1 billion cash deal
The acquisition price implies $18.90 per Varex share, after the stock traded near $12.41 before the announcement and jumped about 48% on the news.
Teledyne Technologies agreed to acquire Varex Imaging in a roughly $1.1 billion all-cash transaction, buying all outstanding shares for $18.90 each, according to MarketBeat Ratings.
The deal is expected to close in early 2027, and Teledyne plans to fund the purchase using its existing revolving credit facility, avoiding equity dilution.

Following the announcement, Varex shares rose about 48% in a single trading session to close near $18.46 per share as investors priced in the cash buyout floor.
