Edelman Financial and Tudor report major Bitcoin ETF holdings
Edelman Financial Engines said its spot Bitcoin ETF position is $34.0 million, while Tudor Investment reported 688,529 IBIT shares worth $22.9 million as of June 30.
Edelman Financial Engines disclosed a $34 million position in spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, with the stake now exceeding some of the firm’s other holdings in major tech companies, according to Bitcoin Magazine.
The filing said the position is held in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust and Grayscale’s flagship product, and that it tracks closely with views held by Ric Edelman, who has advocated for Bitcoin ETFs since 2019.
Bitcoin Magazine also cited an additional disclosure from Tudor Investment Corporation, led by Paul Tudor Jones, which reported owning 688,529 shares of IBIT as of June 30, valued at $22.9 million.
The outlet noted that the SEC approved spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024, years after Edelman’s earlier ETF advocacy, and that the firm’s Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals was founded to educate advisors on crypto and blockchain technology.
