Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net outflows after BTC slipped under $63,000
On Aug. 13, the US spot Bitcoin ETF complex posted $131.1 million in net outflows, even as Morgan Stanley’s BTC ETF added $7.1 million and Grayscale’s Mini Trust took in $38.9 million.
Bitcoin fell below $63,000 and dragged US spot Bitcoin ETF flows lower on Aug. 13, according to CryptoSlate, with the category turning negative despite pockets of buying.
Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust and Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust were the only funds to attract capital on the day, bringing combined inflows of $46.0 million that offset part of a broader selloff.
CryptoSlate said the full spot Bitcoin ETF group logged $131.1 million in net outflows, contrasted with $177.1 million in gross outflows across seven other products, and that withdrawals were spread across most of the complex.
The outlet also reported that Aug. 13 outflows marked a continuation of a weaker demand stretch, with US spot Bitcoin ETFs down $332 million in net outflows over four sessions through Aug. 13, though the pullback did not fully erase the prior week’s rebound.
