Pillar Capital appoints Jessica Ferreira as its Actuary
The Bermuda-based ILS and collateralized reinsurance manager said Ferreira joins from KPMG, where she worked in P&C insurance and reinsurance roles in Bermuda.
Pillar Capital Management Limited, a Bermuda-based specialist in collateralized reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS), appointed Jessica Ferreira as an Actuary, according to Artemis.
Artemis said Ferreira is joining from KPMG, where she spent nearly the last three years working in a range of actuarial roles in P&C insurance and reinsurance within the firm’s Bermuda division. She joined KPMG in December 2023 as an Actuarial Associate, was promoted to a senior position in October 2024, and then advanced again to Actuarial Assistant Manager in late 2025.
Before KPMG, Artemis reported Ferreira spent just under two years at FirstRand as an Asset and Liability Management Risk Analyst.
Artemis also noted Pillar Capital had more than US$4.3 billion in assets under management as of the second half of 2025, and that the firm previously promoted Kevin Ronaldson to chief financial officer and hired Ken Mahadeo as vice president of operations last year.
