Relation Insurance names Julio Bermudez to lead private equity risk practice
The hire is intended to expand Relation’s Specialty platform and support producers serving private equity clients with transactional and management liability expertise.
Relation Insurance Services, an insurance brokerage and risk management firm, has appointed Julio Bermudez as Practice Leader for its Private Equity, Transactional Risk and Financial Institutions practice.
Bermudez brings more than 30 years of experience advising private equity firms, financial institutions, and portfolio companies on management liability and transactional risk solutions, including work spanning mergers and acquisitions, transactional liability, Representations & Warranties insurance, and longer term business needs.
In his new role, Bermudez will lead the company’s private equity and transactional risk practice, supporting the continued development of Relation’s Specialty platform while helping producers access specialist expertise and resources for private equity clients.
Douglas Turk, President of Specialty at Relation Insurance, said Bermudez’s experience and relationships align with the company’s vision for Specialty, noting his leadership is expected to strengthen the platform and create more value for clients. Bermudez said he was drawn to the opportunity to build the platform with colleagues he respects.
