Apple revises Europe App Store fees to address DMA payments clash
The company said the changes are meant to resolve disputes tied to how it implemented the EU Digital Markets Act.
Apple said it is overhauling App Store fees in Europe in an effort to resolve disagreements with regulators over in-app payments.
The company linked the move to the implementation of the European Union's Digital Markets Act, saying the updates “resolve” the issues that arose after the DMA took effect.
CNBC Markets and CNBC World reported the development, noting Apple’s framing that the revised fee approach is intended to bring its payments practices in line with regulator expectations tied to the DMA.
